Sourced directly from Kyoto, our hojicha is the “kuki” version: roasted stems instead of leaves. Dark amber in color, this roasted bancha adds a richness & tobacco-ey aroma that is found only in stems. Rich while light-bodied, low in caffeine and without much astringency, this tea can be drunk any time of the day. Steep 6g in a teapot of boiling water for 3 minutes.
